Parade Saddles
These larger, heavy saddles were most popular in the mid 20th century, and are now collectors' items. Showier than even show saddles, these are often one of a kind designs. They have a lot of tooling, carving and trim, very large skirts, and tapadero stirrups.

The typical features of parade saddles is that it has extensive and showy decoration with silver trimmings and ornate tooling, just like the show saddles of today. It also has large skirts that would provide room for more decoration. It has heavier weight that is used to handle the weight of the silver accents and a tapadero stirrups. Parade saddles are quite pleasing to the eyes and using this during parades could really attract the attention of the audience and spectators.
