Saddle Placement

When saddling a horse, we want it sitting right above her shoulder, we want our stirrup hanging about even with the back of her shoulder. So once we do this then we can let down the stirrup really gently on the other side. That is the proper way that you would want to place that on there that is going to be most comfortable.

You never want to drop it directly on the horses back cause that is going to startle them or really make them hate getting saddled. So we just want to place it really gently and we want to place it right on the proper place, right above the shoulder.
