Tex Tan Saddles
Tex Tan Saddlery is the original Saddle company of Yoakum, Texas. Since 1919, Tex Tan is one of the most respected western saddle manufacturers wherever cowboys and horsemen meet.
In the 1940’s, Tex Tan profited from several government contracts supplying western saddles. During this time, Texas Tanning & Manufacturing Co. changed its name to the present name of Tex Tan.
By the 1960’s, Tex Tan grew bigger and developed further in the area of western saddles and tack. It was during this time that Tex Tan’s saddle testing program began-measuring the strength and durability of the western saddles trees manufactured.
With increasing growth during the late 70’s and 80’s, Tex Tan has become one of the leading saddle manufacturing companies in the USA. From 1919 to present, Tex Tan has continued to ensure quality and service remain second to none.
